Wow..just wow! After a successful day of shopping and baking, I checked my notifications and saw the fabulous Lauren from Hole Food Family had left me a comment.
Lauren had nominated me for an award I had never heard of…The Liebster Award! Now knowing what the award means I am so honoured and very thankful.

The Liebster award is to recognise and discover new Bloggers and to welcome them to the blogosphere!  It’s given from Bloggers to Bloggers.

I have only been doing my blog for about 4 weeks, so for me receiving this award is an amazing achievement! 🙂

Thank you Lauren, I would like to accept your nomination!  Lauren asked a few questions to find out a little more about my blog, and the answers are below:

1. What originally got you blogging?

I got my first allotment, No.27 and had some many questions, I really wanted to find similar people to me who had already started the allotment journey. I stumbled across Lavender and Leeks, a Journal by a lovely lady called Katie. It was reading her journal and the thought that I might be able to help others in the position I am now that made me what to share my journey.

1. What do you most enjoy about blogging?

Sharing my journey, meeting similar people and having a little place to be myself.

1. Who or what, is your biggest inspiration in life?

That thought that nothing is impossible and if you want something enough and are determined then you will achieve it.

1. Who or What, are you most grateful for?

My parents for giving me a family orientated upbringing where we spent our holidays on the moors and never spent a day indoors stuck in front of a TV. (Too many children are bought up these days with consoles and tv being family time)

1. Where would you most like to be right now?

On No.27 in the sunshine getting it ready for the Spring. So many ideas that I want to make happen and share with my followers.

1. Do you have hopes or aspirations for your blog?

To stay true to myself, gain more followers and hopefully help other people who are starting out on their allotment journey.

1. Who would your 5 fantasy dinner party guests be?

1. What would you cook for them?

Oooo…that’s tough! I would get really anxious cooking for others so would probably keep it really simple….fresh fish, basmati rice and home grown carrots, followed by a homemade sponge cake.

1. What advise would your 80 year old self give you right now, for the future?

Stay true to yourself, keep pushing hard like you always do but look after yourself too.

1. What advise would you give your 16 year old self about your future?

You are strong headed and determined, nobody can stop you so if you want something go and get it. Use your independence in the right way and don’t take your parents for granted, later in life they will be your heroes.
