Christmas Gift Ideas for Gardening Lovers!

We are very quickly approaching the big day now, the Christmas songs have started playing everywhere and I am far from organised! But if you are like me….don’t worry it will all come together. That’s what I’m telling myself anyway.

Who’s got their Christmas tree and decs up yet? I went to pick my tree yesterday at Hannah Cottrell Designs just up the road from me.  It’s the first time I have had a real one since I was a child, must be at least 15 years. I can’t lie, I got very excited! I want to have the real scent of Christmas fill my home so stayed away from the non-drop ones and opted for a tall and super bushy Norway Spruce tree. Now just to decorate it with lots of colour co-ordinated baubles and fairy lights, I can’t wait!

As you know, every year I like to compile a list of fab Christmas gifts ideas for you. Well I say it’s for you, but really it’s the opportunity for me to drop a load of hints!

So here is my 2017 list, many of which I would love myself and a few others I just think you might like. You can then hopefully use this blog to drop lots of hints yourself too.

First up is these gorgeous hanging pots from Burgon & Ball:

Indoor Hanging Pots – £9.99

I love these indoor hanging pots as I’m always looking for stylish ways to bring a dash of green and my passion for plants into my home.

These hand crafted pots are bang on trend, especially with the rise in all ages introducing cacti and succulents into the home.

In a range of four different designs, there is one to suit everyone, or get all four! That’s what I would love!

Order online here from £9.99.

Garden Supplies ‘Hang It’ Pegboard – £22.99

I really have to give the gardening brands a high-five this year as I honestly think they have nailed being on-trend for the first time. Creating products that all ages, from teenagers to experienced gardeners would love.

Especially this Pegboard which I personally think would look great in any shed, but also equally wonderful and fashionable in an office space or teenagers bedroom. Hang tools, jewellery or stationary, the options for the Pegboard are endless.

Order online here in a choice of three shades; Stone (pictured), Sage or Charcoal for £22.99.

Illustrated Green Heart Print – from £12.00

You will notice I am a huge fan of Zoe’s designs and prints, she is one truly fantastic illustrator. I have many of her items already, as well as featuring her tote bags in my 2016 list. One item I don’t have though is this beautiful and original design, using fruit and vegetables in shades of green, to make up the shape of a heart.

Perfect for food lovers, cooks, gardeners, or those who are all three. It would especially make a lovely print for hanging in the kitchen, or over a dining table.

Order here at Zoe’s Etsy Shop from £12.00.

Brie Harrison Garden Gloves – £14.99

Now every gardener needs gloves, whether it is these Brie Harrison ones which are my particular favourite currently or another less colourful pair. They are the present you can’t get wrong!

I’m a sucker for a pretty design especially if they are durable and super comfortable too. I need gloves that can put up with my less than dainty gardening skills and these certainly look up to the task.

Order a pair for a loved one here for £14.99.

Gardening Books – from £15.99

I already have both of these fantastic books, but I wanted to recommend them to you. They are perfect for newbies who are thinking of trying to grow their own or have just got their own allotment. Also, great reference books to refer back to for a reminder at any time, I still do now sometimes. When I went and bought my first seeds, compost and containers, I read these books daily. They taught me the basics of what I know now and both keep GYO super simple and easy to understand, exactly what I am all about.

Order RHS Step-by-Step Veg Patch here for £16.99, and the Allotment Handbook here for £15.99.

Perennial Naked Gardeners Calendar 2018 – £10.00

Last on the list is one I have definitely put on my Christmas list already, the very cheeky and fabulous calendar from the charity, Perennial.
Following on from the success of their 2015 & 2016 Naked Gardener’s Calendar, their intrepid volunteers have once again dared to bare all (nearly).

Perennial is the UK’s only charity dedicated to helping everyone who works in horticulture, and their families, when times get tough.
Perennial provides free and confidential advice, support and financial assistance to people of all ages working in, or retired from horticulture. This help extends to spouses, partners and children.

100% of the profits from their online shop go towards funding their services.

Order yours here for just £10.00.

I hope that something has caught your eye or given you a few ideas for the gardening lovers in your life.

If not, why not go for National Garden Gift Vouchers, accepted in over 2,000 leading garden centres, shops and nurseries across the UK. You certainly can’t go wrong with vouchers!

Check out my list from last year too, many of the gifts are still fantastic and some available to order! Just click here.

Thanks for the mention. I adore those hanging pots. I have lots of baby Aloe Vera’s and spider plants that are taking over the house. I might have to put some hooks up in my studio!
