November 2018 – Update

Its been a month since I sent you my last update and during that time, Life at No.27 turned 3 years old. What an incredible 3 years it has been and here’s to celebrating many more birthdays. Amongst the celebrations, I have been busy spreading the word further amongst the industry about how everyone can get involved in the new non-profit organisation through one way or another.

The enterprise has received a great deal of interest and support from both individuals, brands and retailers which is absolutely fantastic and a great starting point. Grateful doesn’t even cut it! However, I now need to focus on the raising of funds to start building the vision ready for 2019. This involves me asking for money in various ways, which I don’t feel hugely comfortable with as some of you may have noticed, but in order to get the enterprise off the ground and to make it a success I have decided to follow the advice given by many of you and start being a little bit bolder. Not too much…don’t worry.

If I could fund the non-profit organisation myself, I absolutely would do, but unfortunately that is not realistic. The vision for Life at No.27 is to help as many people as possible up and down the country, and in order to achieve that I need support and ultimately funding.

I am currently looking at the various government-funded options available for social enterprises and non-profit organisations and I am hopeful that Life at No.27 will be eligible. Following advice from many of you, I have now set up a GoFundMe page to generate sponsorship from friends, family and my social media and blog followers. I would of course love you to share this link as far and wide as you can.

In addition, I have also created a series of bookable GYO and wellbeing workshop sessions for museums, schools and clubs. As well as a range of sponsorship packages starting from £5000 for businesses maybe such as yourself, who want to get involved. Each package offers several benefits to give brands as much added value and exposure as possible.

The money will be spent on allowing me to devote 100% of my time to setting up the organisation and meeting with government policy holders and health ambassadors. As well as covering necessary costs such as land rent, insurance, equipment, security checks for volunteers and much more.

If you would like more information on the organisation, workshop sessions, talks and sponsorships packages, please do get in touch.

Lastly and most importantly, thank you so much for taking the time to read our newsletter amongst your busy day. It means a great deal and I hope you enjoy reading my new monthly features too.
