OPENING IN SPRING 2023, THANKS TO OUR CURRENT CROWDFUNDER CAMPAIGN!

Welcome to the soon to be opened allotment therapy site based within the grounds of Brynawel House, just outside of Llanharan, Pontyclun in South Wales. If you are local, struggling with your mental health and would like a way to build your confidence, please speak to your GP or contact us direct find out more information. As soon as we open and start taking referrals, we will then invite you for a visit and initial consultation.

All our programmes are designed upon using conversation, creativity in gardening, confidence boosting exercises, mindfulness and goal setting to help you express yourself and explore any challenges. 

Here we will offer a range services and classes including:

Annual Allotment Programme

As part of the year long programme, you are offered your own allotment plot and attendance at one or two therapy sessions at week with our founder, Annabelle. We provide all the basics, including tools and seeds to get you started.

Our aim during the sessions is to give you dedicated time, unconditional positive regard, immediacy, a space to be heard, and feel supported; all whilst learning how to grow your own food and other life skills.

Cost: £0 with GP, social worker or psychiatrist referral. We do accept self-referrals as the first contact, but will require a professional referral following your first visit.

Criteria for Referrals

  • Mental health diagnosis within Care Clusters 0 – 3
  • Adult 18-65 yrs
  • Local resident
  • Service-user has individual recovery goals and motivation to participate.
  • Service-user has ability to engage with recovery programme which includes participating in reviews, goal-setting, occupational activity and social interaction.
